Kitchen Sink Cookies
This is another wonderful Martha Stewart creation. This is great for those of us who love all kinds of cookies and can't decide on the perfect one.
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup sweetened flake coconut
1 cup raisins (golden are best)
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (or pecans)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with Silpats or parchment paper.
- Using a wooden spoon, mix together butter, white and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Stir in vanilla.
- In medium bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually stir into butter mixture until well blended. Add last 4 ingredients.
- Using a tablespoon or 1 ounce ice cream scoop, drop batter onto baking sheet spacing drops about 2 inches apart. Press tops down with bottom of a glass. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan and transfer to a wire rack. Let them cool completely.
