Kitchen Sink Cookies

This is another wonderful Martha Stewart creation. This is great for those of us who love all kinds of cookies and can't decide on the perfect one.

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups old-fashioned oats

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup sweetened flake coconut

1 cup raisins (golden are best)

1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (or pecans)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with Silpats or parchment paper.
  2. Using a wooden spoon, mix together butter, white and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Stir in vanilla.
  3. In medium bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually stir into butter mixture until well blended. Add last 4 ingredients.
  4. Using a tablespoon or 1 ounce ice cream scoop, drop batter onto baking sheet spacing drops about 2 inches apart. Press tops down with bottom of a glass. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan and transfer to a wire rack. Let them cool completely.
